You might recall that Shooting Freetown recently made One World Media's shortlist for their Student Award.
Well I'm proud to announce that the film has been nominated by a jury panel of media professionals as one of the three finalists!
I will be attending the awards ceremony which will be hosted by Jon Snow, taking place at on Tuesday 8th May at Kings Place, London.
This is a really exciting moment for me, this recognition is beyond what I could have expected when I was out there in Freetown last summer making the film. I'm so pleased the stories of Arthur, KP and Paps will reach a wider audience and I hope it contributes to a different kind of understanding of life in Sierra Leone.
The full list of nominees can be found here.
Wish me luck!
If you want to find out a bit more about One World Media and the work they do, I'll hand you over to Mr. Snow...
